Social Media

Social media shows tennis how it feels - not how it should look.

Text Overlay Rules

01

Font: Courtside Sans, uppercase

02

Max. 5 words

03

Color: White or black on image

02 — Lesefläche

Overlay System

Text over image needs a reading surface. The gradient is the standard tool — digital as a semi-transparent gradient, print as an opaque solid block.

Semi-transparent gradient from opaque to transparent. Three stops, one direction. The image remains visible.

Color Logic

Image characterOverlay colorText color
Dark imageNo overlayWhite
Standard#181818 → TransparentWhite
Light image#FFFFFF → TransparentBlack (#181818)

Gradient (3 Stops)

0%Fully opaque — text sits here
70–75%Hold zone — transition begins
100%Fully transparent — image becomes visible

Overlay Width

Calm image, little detail35–40%
Standard40–50%
Busy image, lots of detail50–60%

Fade Zones: No-Gos

Fade zone must not cover faces
Fade zone must not cut through product logos
Fade zone must not emphasize hard image edges
Always place fade in calmer image areas — when in doubt, make the overlay wider
03 — Vertikal-Formate

Reels & Stories

Vertical video formats need their own rules for subtitles and CTAs — readable, quick to grasp, not cluttered.

01

Subtitles: Roboto Bold, mixed case - white on semi-transparent black (#000/70%)

02

Text CTA: Courtside Sans, uppercase - statement element for overlays and end cards

03

Button CTA: Roboto Bold, mixed case - black on TP Yellow (#FAF514)

04

No TP Yellow as subtitle color - yellow on moving image is too hard to read

04 — E-Mail

Newsletter

Newsletter banners follow a fixed visual logic: image leads, text sits as overlay on top.

01

Headline: Courtside Sans, uppercase - white highlight bar with gradient to transparency

02

Subline (optional): Roboto, mixed case - same bar treatment

03

TP Yellow only as keyword accent in the headline (e.g. 'SALE', '60%'), never as surface

04

Image: Court photography, clear light, game context - no cutouts, no studio shots

05 — Webshop

Web / E-Commerce

The website is a sales floor, not a gallery. Brand serves the purchase, not the other way around.

TypeImage:UIDescription
Homepage60:40Hero image, category teasers, product highlights
Category (PLP)40:60Cutouts in list, no context images
Product (PDP)50:50Large cutout + angles + context image
Campaign LP70:30Dominant hero, split modules

Print & Packaging

Packaging is the most detached context: no profile picture, no header, no visual system around it. The brand must stand on its own through wordmark, typography and color system.

Information Hierarchy

01

Brand Identifier

Wordmark (mandatory) + Ball Icon (optional)

02

Product Name

Courtside Sans, uppercase - e.g. PREMIUM OVERGRIP

03

04

Dimensions, weight, material

05

Instructions

Step-by-step with numbered icons

06

Legal Information

Manufacturer, address, country of origin

Rules

01

Wordmark: Mandatory on every package (front AND back). Min. 35 mm width.

02

Ball Icon: Allowed as addition (closure, label, endcap) - does not replace the wordmark. Min. 8 mm diameter.

03

Clear visual separation between hierarchy levels. Max. 2 font sizes per packaging side.

04

Headlines (product name): Courtside Sans, uppercase - min. 14 pt / 5 mm cap height.

05

Body & instructions: Roboto, mixed case - min. 7 pt / 2.5 mm. Legal: min. 6 pt.

06

Body text under 12 pt always in pure K (no Rich Black) - prevents registration errors.

07

TP Yellow only as accent (keyword, icon highlight) - never as packaging background. Black on yellow is mandatory when type sits on yellow.

08

Matte preferred. Gloss only as targeted spot UV on logo or headline.

07 — Raster

Layout & Grid Logic

Layout follows image attitude: closeness, directness, no overdesign.

Desktop

Desktop (1440px): 12 columns, 24px gutter, 80px outer margin

Mobile

Mobile (375px): 4 columns, 16px gutter, 20px outer margin

01

Image priority – images get space

02

Whitespace as design element – min. 80px between sections

03

Asymmetry allowed – left-aligned standard, centered only for hero headlines

04

No decorative elements – no lines, background shapes, non-functional shadows
